Case Closed: Rare Bird Collective

Rare Bird Collective is a luxury wedding and event planning business run by Andrea Batt, event extraordinaire with over 10 years of experience in events, restaurants and hospitality. “I’ve been a business owner for about a year and a half now,” says Andrea, and Rare Bird Collective since has been offering bespoke event planning such as luxury weddings, wine tastings and chef dinners. 

The numbers don’t lie. Rare Bird Collective has produced (as of 2/15/24):

  • 193 Events + Weddings

  • 84 Winery + Chef Collaborations

  • 67 Corporate Events

So, with this success and doing what they do best: events, where was the problem? What did Rare Bird Collective need help with?

The Problem

Although Rare Bird Collective was producing a lot of weddings, collaborating with a lot of local businesses and hosting premium events in its first year and a half, Andrea was still troubled with the issue of how to connect with her luxury audience. 

Since the event industry is so incredibly referral-based and being a luxury planner (which was even more heavily reliant on referrals), Andrea needed help to:

  • Refine her sales process and funnel to be more focused so she could connect better with her luxury clients

  • Clarify her services and offerings

  • Create a strategic plan to grow and expand her business

Andrea felt that the brand needed to still develop and had potential to grow more as it was still just a baby — with only a year and a half in the books, there was a lot of potential for Rare Bird Collective to continue expanding by finding the right clients and servicing towns near and far and growing her service offerings.
